Dubai
has two seasons, summer and winter. There are transition months in between.
Dubai summer (June-August)
Temperature The temperature of
the air during summer fluctuates between 33 and 42 degrees Celsius.
Summer: Dubai is awash with
the sun during summer. For 12 hours, the city is flooded with shimmering
heat. Temperatures can soar to the high forties and even into the
fifties. During these months, the humidity and heat increase. It is
difficult to move about the city because of sandstorms.
Significance Because of these
temperatures, outdoor activities and festivals are limited. The city isn't
closed completely during this time. Dubai Summer Surprises is spread over
10 weeks with a different theme each week. Every aspect of life is
celebrated, from food to art to nature.
Why
you should go now: Dubai is directly under the sun during the summer months.
However, the interiors of Dubai are air-conditioned and cold, which allows you
to remain inside during the winter months. Great deals are offered by
hotels on accommodation and food.
What
you need to know before your visit: Dubai's nightlife is still vibrant
despite the heat. The best place to spend a summer day is in the
malls. You will be restricted from moving outside during the sandstorm
season, so plan your activities only if you absolutely must.
Tips: Hydration during
the heat season is crucial. Drink at least 2 liters of water per day, and
eat light meals. Feeling full in the heat can be uncomfortable. Be
light-weight and bring antiperspirant. Keep all activities
indoors. Desert safaris are an exception, but it is important to check the
weather before you make your booking.
Dubai in winter (November-March)
Temperature The temperature of
the air during winter is between 17degC to 30degC.
Weather The city feels a
relief from the cooler part of the year. The November temperature drops to
a comfortable 25deg C. In December, it continues to fall to the mid-twenties
with the evenings becoming chilly. Although the sun peeks out in January,
the humidity remains low and temperatures can drop to as low as
15degC. Although the heat increases in February, the month is still
pleasant in Dubai. You will also experience mild rain and occasional
thunderstorms every day for approximately 3-4 days. This should not affect your
ability to move or plan events. Dubai has the perfect climate for this
season.
Significance Dubai is filled to
the brim with events this season. Dubai Design Week - A festival
celebrating the creativity of the community - kicks off November. As the
UAE's independence from Britain is celebrated on the 2nd December, it's a day
of celebration as well as remembrance. As the Dubai International Film
Festival rolls, celebrities flood the city. 16 international rugby teams
compete in the Dubai Rugby Seasons. New Year celebrations bring tourists
to the city in their thousands. The grand Dubai Shopping Festival follows,
a shopping shopper's paradise. Dubai is home to almost 2 million tourists
who enjoy sales, discounts, and unbelievable prices. The Dubai Marathon
and Dubai Golf Tournament continue to bring the best athletes to this vibrant
city. The sporting streak continues in February and March with top tennis
players coming to Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships. The annual Jazz
Festival, International Boat Show, Art Shows, and World Cup in Horse Racing are
all part of Dubai.
Why
Dubai should be visited now the combination of weather and events makes it a
compelling reason to visit Dubai in winter. You can move about the city
and get outdoors during this season, so make the most of it and visit all the
famous spots.
What
to know before you visit? Every brand is represented at the Dubai Shopping
Festival. The festival runs from the last week in December through the
first week in February. You'll find amazing discounts on clothes,
electronics, accessories and perfumes as well as home decor. You won't be
able to find the right product or where to shop. You don't want this
shopping trip to be missed so start saving!
Tips No matter how
pleasant the weather is, there are some things you should
remember. Evenings can get cold so bring warm layers and jackets. The
sun is brighter in January and February. While the heat won't bother your skin,
UV rays can still be a problem. Apply strong sunblock before leaving the
house.
Dubai
has two main seasons, as we mentioned. We'll explain the differences
between the two seasons and give you some reasons to go.
Dubai in April-May / September-October (Transition
Months)
Temperature During these
transition months, the air temperature fluctuates between 25degC to 38degC in
April-May and 26-38degC in September-October.

the mild weather of winter gradually give way to the heat of summer. May
officially marks the start of the summer sun. Temperatures can reach 37 degrees
Celsius. Clear skies, with no clouds, and sun shining for nearly 11 hours
every day.
September
marks the start of shorter winter days. The summer heat begins to decrease
during this month. Even though the average temperature is still higher
than usual, evening temperatures see a significant decrease. October sees
the temperature drop another 5 degrees, paving the way for the coming winter
season in Dubai.

special month for foodies as the Dubai Food Festival begins. April is a
great month for foodies, with celebrity chefs and cooking demonstrations.

Latin music. The Dubai International Dance Festival is a complement to
this festival, which brings great dance troupes into the city. The Camel
Racing season begins in October. Participants include locals and people from
Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

should you visit now:
Everything works in moderation during the transition months? It is hot but
not too hot. The sea temperature is perfect, inviting you to take a dip in
the cool waters. You will get great discounts in this season, especially
after the winter peak season.
What
to do before you visit? During April and May be careful and plan as many indoor
activities and events as you can. Although it's not as hot in summer, you
don't want heatstroke.
Tips Keep hydrated
during the April-May months by wearing sunblock and loose cotton
clothes. Avoid swimming in the ocean and prefer to stay indoors when it is
cooler.
If
you choose the right time, Dubai offers a lot of fun activities. While
Dubai is well-equipped for handling heat, it's important to be careful during
summer months. Here it is - Dubai weather, in all its sunshine-kissed
